Education, Career
An alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris, I have 22 years of research and teaching experience at several academic institutions in Europe and the United States. After a 9-year detour through the software industry following my PhD and postdoc period (with a 3-year overlap), I returned to academia in 2004, first as a Visiting Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, then in 2006 as a Research Scientist at the Complex Systems Institute, Paris (ISC-PIF, which I also directed for two years in 2009-10), and a Guest Lecturer at Ecole Polytechnique, Paris. From 2011 on, I worked at various universities and research centers in Spain, US East Coast, and France. In 2016 I became Full Professor at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, a post I eventually quit in November 2019 for personal convenience. I am now back to ISC-PIF. Bio →
