Education, Career
An alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (ENS) in Paris, I have 20 years of research and teaching experience at various academic institutions in Europe and the United States. After a 9-year detour through the software industry following my PhD and postdoc period (with a 3-year overlap), I returned to academia in 2004, first as a Visiting Professor at the University of Nevada, Reno, then in 2006 as a Research Scientist at the Complex Systems Institute, Paris (which I directed for two years) and a Guest Lecturer at Ecole Polytechnique, Paris. In 2012, I moved to the Washington DC area, where I was formally affiliated with Drexel University and taught at the Catholic University of America, then went back to France in 2014 on a research position at CNRS, before coming to Manchester in 2016.
